Kate Beckinsale has been busy these days. Her latest movie Jolt, released on Amazon Prime, is already rumored to have a sequel in the making. Clearly, she has a full plate. So it's no surprise that she doesn't think there will be the sixth installment of Underworld.

Beckinsale plays Selene, a warrior vampire dubbed a Death Dealer who has dedicated her life to killing Lycans, also known as werewolves. The franchise was an immediate hit among fans, but not so much the critics. Let's take a look at the franchise's past, present, and possible future.

The film that started it all

The first film in the franchise made $95 million with a $25 million dollar budget in 2003. The franchise has since spawned four sequels: Underworld: Evolution in 2006, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans in 2009, Underworld: Awakening in 2012, and Underworld: Blood Wars in 2016.

Despite the success of the franchise, Beckinsale doesn't see the franchise continuing but says that she is willing to slip back into the leather pants. "I know exactly where they are," she told Variety. One of the biggest indications has been the time between films. Another factor is the critics' opinion of the franchise through the years.

The end of the line for the franchise

None of the films in the franchise have been well-received by critics. All of the films were deemed rotten by Rotten Tomatoes. However, the franchise has a loyal fan-following so the sequels kept coming. That fan-following faltered after the last film. The latest film didn't even impress the loyal fans.

In addition, a long time has passed since the final film. Based on the release of prior films in the franchise, no more than four years passed between the sequels, which is also another indication that the fan following has finally petered out.

A reboot may be in the future

Since the film doesn't seem ripe for a sequel, some have ventured to guess a reboot may be in the works. It has been rumored that a TV show could be in the works for the franchise as well. It would be interesting to see if Beckinsale would be willing to reprise her role in a TV show.

Beckinsale has mentioned that she would like to work on a mashup of Underworld and Blade. Since the movies are born from the same genre, it would be an interesting film if and when it does come to fruition. However, she says that she thinks they only wanted to do a Blade reboot as a solo project. Perhaps there will be a mashup in the future?

If there is enough outcry from audiences when there is no Underworld 6 produced, that could be one way the writers could reinvigorate the franchise by creating a new storyline for both characters. In 2016, producer David Kern stated that a crossover film with the Resident Evil film series had also been considered.

A separate crossover film between the Blade series and Underworld had been discussed as a sequel to Blade: Trinity with Snipes returning, but that idea was declined because Marvel Studios had plans to use the character in the Marvel Universe.

Kate Beckinsale seems to have found her niche in Hollywood as a female action hero. Her work in Underworld, as well as Jolt in 2021, has certainly placed her in the running for it. If her recent films are any indication, it seems that Beckinsale may well be the next Milla Jovovich, who was deemed the "reigning queen of kick-butt" by VH1 in 2006. Look out Milla, someone may be coming for your crown.

1. Florence Henderson wanted Carol Brady to have a job.

Aside from handing out the brown-bag lunches, supporting hubby Mike (Robert Reed) when he had to scold one of the kids, or doing needlepoint, matriarch Carol Brady, played by Florence Henderson, did not have all that much to do to fill her days on "The Brady Bunch." However, Henderson said in various interviews that she actually wanted Carol to hold down a job. Wisecracking Alice (Ann B. Davis) did all the grunt work, after all. But the producers just did not want to see Carol bringing home the bacon.

2. TV's youngest Bradys were not as shy as you thought.

TV's most wholesome family featured a nude scene … sort of. In a scene in Season 4 episode "Goodbye, Alice, Hello," which has been deleted for years, Bobby and Cindy, for no logical reason, announce they are going swimming at the neighbor's pool. "The new people at the corner invited us over the swim," explains Cindy. But when doting Alice decides to check what bathing suit Bobby is wearing, she opens his robe and discovers (egads!) he is wearing his birthday suit. Cindy is also au naturel. "Who moved in over there, Adam and Eve?" questions Alice, who quickly quashes these nudie shenanigans.

3. There was a very Brady car mix-up.

In Season 2 episode "The Winner," Mike and Carol take Bobby (Mike Lookinland) to a local TV show to compete in an ice cream eating competition (Bobby, after all, was the only Brady kid not to have a trophy!). But they leave in the blue convertible and return in the brown station wagon. Did Alice switch the cars?

4. The Brady attic magically grew in size.

In the fourth season finale, "A Room at the Top," Greg (Barry Williams) and Marcia (Maureen McCormick) both want to move into the full-sized attic. But, wait — didn't Mike tell Carol two seasons earlier in the "Our Son, the Man" episode that the attic was only two and a half feet tall? Hmmm …

5. "The Brady Bunch" made an attempt at diversity.

Season 5 episode "Kelly's Kids" was a backdoor pilot featuring Ken Berry and Brooke Bundy as the new Brady neighbors who decide to adopt three young boys with different cultural backgrounds. One of those boys, Matt, was played by Lookinland's then-9-year-old brother, Todd. After being rejected by ABC, the series morphed into "Together We Stand" with Elliott Gould and Dee Wallace on CBS in 1986 (which, after a low-rated fall season, returned without Gould that spring as "Nothing is Easy"). You got that?

6. Robert Reed had an on-camera role on another network during "The Brady Bunch."

In Season 5 episode "Mail Order Hero," featuring football legend Joe Namath, Marcia (Maureen McCormick) makes reference to a "far-out" guy named Mike Connors. At the time, TV dad Robert Reed also had a recurring role as Lt. Adam Tobias on CBS detective drama "Mannix," which starred Mike Connors. Groovy inside joke!

7. The sun will come up tomorrow — and the next day — on "The Brady Bunch."

Mirroring the perfection in the Brady home, every day was a "sunshine day" at 4222 Clinton Way. Apparently, it never does rain in Southern California!

8. Good 'ol Alice must have been on a hunger strike.

Alice, most commonly, was in that orange and avocado-green kitchen, preparing meal after meal for the hungry Brady brood (including Peter's favorite, pork chops and apple sauce). But did you ever notice that Alice never managed to eat anything? Maybe that's why she seemed to manage fine without her own bathroom.

9. Even the girl who "made it after all" could not avoid the Robbie Rist curse.

Yes, we know. Robbie Rist as Cousin Oliver "killed" "The Brady Bunch." After six episodes with Oliver, ABC opted against a sixth season (which, in fact, would have included that little jinx). But did you know that Rist also spread his bad luck on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show"? After joining the beloved sitcom as Ted (Ted Knight) and Georgette's (Georgia Engel) adopted son David in the sixth season-finale, it was curtains after just one more season.

10. A different Mike Brady could have had two more kids.

One planned scenario for "The Brady Bunch," had there been a sixth season, was for another actor to be cast in the role of Mike Brady. Sherwood Schwartz was apparently none too happy about Reed's antics (including missing the fifth season finale, which was ultimately the series-ender), according to "Brady, Brady, Brady," a book he co-wrote with son Lloyd Schwartz. And a potential change in direction of the sitcom was for Carol to become pregnant with twins. The boy would have hair of gold, like his mother, and the girl would favor those four men living all together.

11. Once a Brady, always a Brady.

Eve Plumb, a then hot commodity post-"Brady Bunch" care of made-for TV movies "Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway" and "Alexander: The Other Side of Dawn," was too busy to participate in spinoff fiasco "The Brady Bunch Hour" in 1977 (which has given "fake Jan," Geri Reischl, a career). But once "The Brady Bunch" debuted in off-network syndication, Eve was back as Jan … forever.

Yet, anyone who has spent any time shopping for one understands that not all heaters are created equally. You want a heater that's designed to fit your needs, look great in your space and work within your lifestyle. This isn't an investment to rush into. Before you shell out your money and install one in your home, read this guide to make sure you're getting the best gas heater for your needs.

Know If You Need a Gas Heater

You might think that a gas heater could work well in your space, but is the heater made for it? As you research your options, you'll soon realize that gas heaters are categorized by their heating capacities. This is true for older models, secondhand gas heaters and those you buy new. While this has much to do with the size of a room they're designed to warm, the rating also measures how quickly they emit heat. Some gas heaters, most notably portable and unflued ones, don't work in a particularly small space. The reason? They produce emissions that could be harmful if there isn't enough air circulating in the area. Sophia explains, 'I revamped her blinds by glueing wallpaper to them with bookbinding glue. I did the same for the wardrobe doors.' A job well done, but we love the detail here also, the school tie tiebacks is a touch of genius.

3. Decorated ceilings

The ceiling is brought to life by Sophia's imaginative vision of floating kets and candles. 'I glued wings onto the keys, put fishing wire on and hung to the ceiling with command hooks.' And did the same with the floating candles.'

Sophia was keen to create an enchanted ceiling, beyond the floating accessories. Having rewatched the film she noted the ceilings featured clouds and stars. Inspired she explains, 'I started painting black and stippled blue with a dry stiff brush. I got a YouTube video tutorial on how to do clouds easily. It said to stipple grey and white together for the fluffy cloud effect.'

'I had some spray paint left from an old project but it was grey. So I thought I'd just test a small area, and it softened all the edges and made an almost fog-like appearance. I loved it. For the stars I watered down with white paint and simply flicked the brush to give the illusion of stars.'

4. Upcycled furniture

'My daughter's furniture was all white from IKEA. I knew I wanted dark furniture but couldn't find what I wanted or anything that I could afford' Says Sophia. 'So I bought Frenchic paint in Smudge and painted her furniture as even if it went wrong, it would be okay as I had nothing to lose.'

'It worked a dream. I bought one tin and it did every piece of furniture, as well as the skirting, windowsills and door.'

5. Bookcase wallpaper reading nook

'The bookcase wallpaper is from Wilko. The books have all the colours of the houses on and it was a bargain at £10. I managed to do that wall with only one roll.' The library-style wallpaper creates the perfect backdrop for a creative reading corner.

6. Azkaban toy storage

'My daughter has a million teddies as well that I knew needed to be kept somewhere. I'd seen teddy zoos and thought I'd love it if I could have an Azkaban prison' she explains. 'I found a wonderful small business that's not too far from me. She made it for me and it's wonderful.'
